Or when it’s healthy to put the politics down…
I recently deactivated my personal Facebook account, largely for two reasons. 1) the politics are growing too extreme in my circle of friends that I fear what they might do with a centrist like me and 2) it’s just time to move on and open up my time and talents to those that will provide something positive in my life.
You are the 5 people you spend the most time with as they say and it’s time to test that theory. A large part of the group of friends were stuck in their ruts or worse wasting away with no direction or drive in life. Simply going through the motions day in and day out. Frankly it is a way to live, but not for me. I want to grow, to push my boundaries and to excel in life. While I love them dearly, I need to cut bait and run towards my future rather than live in the past. Or worse, get sucked into some distraction or another because someone said it was good like TV.
So here we are at the start of another friendship cycle. I seem to have them from time to time though this time it is deliberate and of my choosing rather than simple apathy or walking away. I wish them all well in their lives and endeavors but for me it’s upward and onward.
With less time on social media questioning my sanity or perspective on the regular I’ll instead focus more on this blog and its content. Expect some new additions to its content as I explore health and business in addition to my day job and spiritual/religious musings. I’m also settling on a at least once per week post, likely by Friday each week. It might expand beyond that in time but for now I’ll see you again come Friday.
