Day 5

To help ring out the year and to get a jump on the next my soon to be wife and I are doing #75 Hard. It is day 5 and I am tired, sore and loving every minute of it. I’m understanding the statement “embrace the suck” considering I was hardly working out prior to this week. The worst of it is my back and feet but I have an idea on how to address both problems. Fewer walks and more yoga now that the pool is closed for the season.

It’s exciting and it’s a bit dreadful at the same time but the effort will be worth it in the end. Just need to remember it’s a day at a time. If all goes according to plan I’ll be wrapping up just before Christmas. The only real challenge I see in my future is the convention next month and getting everything in but I will do so. There are no excuses this time and even if I have to drag my lifeless corpse cross the finish line using only my tongue I will do so. Bowing out last time on day 56 still bothers me, I’m not doing that again.

I’ll be cataloging the journey through this process here and will be sure to share any tips or tricks I come across. Here is to the birth of a new me and the start of a life of harder work and just kicking ass. Just in time for the new year.
